In November 2019 we declared “we are Tribe”; a 100% Kiwi-owned technology consultancy firm. This was a significant step for our business, and the shift lets us deliver progressive solutions that are focused on people and centred around business and technology.
The shift also provided an opportunity to recommit our focus to businesses in the small and medium sectors; to our regions and local communities; and to the people whose culture and skills align with ours. We want to be easy and fun to work with. Our real journey has begun!
Our back story
To understand how we got here, it helps to understand where we came from; and some of the amazing companies we have been associated with over the years. Initially, we operated as a very small emerging office under license to CodeBlue, which was followed by an exciting move to work as part of Vo2 in 2015. When Vo2 was merged into The Instillery in 2017, we shifted again to work under their brand.
Over these years, our focus remained totally aligned with our regional markets, customers and services. Eventually this focus moved us from The Instillery’s offering, so we felt it was time to craft our own identity to make everything clear. In a matter of weeks, Tribe was born!
Tribe?
Whilst this story began some time ago, we really do see ourselves and our opportunity in a unique way. We are a start-up, albeit one that started with existing customers, staff and some existing core systems, but we’ve come up with a fresh identity and approach to market.
We believe we have taken the best learnings from the past, applied a touch of greenfield thinking, found some amazing technologies to better serve our customers, and have come up with a formula for success. The formula is founded in genuine trust and partnership, and the belief that we can be better together.
So, what does this change actually mean?
To simplify our approach to partnership, we’ve adjusted our services to include three core offerings; Flex, Grow and Accelerate. More info will be published on these in due course, but the important thing here is that it’s easier than ever to understand how we help you make smarter business possible.
In short: tech is what our business is built on, and we love being able to use the right tools to positively impact yours.
Our journey as Tribe is only just beginning, and we are genuinely excited about the opportunities ahead – especially for our customers! Our ability to work with great people, partners, vendors and like-minded businesses to help Kiwis grow and succeed on whatever stage they set (regional, national or global) – this is our tribal passion.
